A project I worked on at Google’s Incubator in New York. Concept and design by me.

Problem/
Facilities to help the hearing impaired experience music in a portable format are drastically lacking.

Insight/
Since smartphones have become our iPods they are the device to use as our portable format.

Solution/
Introduce a tactile-audio mobile shell that allows the hearing impaired to “listen” vibro-tactically to music. For promoting the shell, Ryan Adams, who struggles himself with a hearing disorder, will release his box set 20:20 through the shell together with an app. The hearing can choose either to just buy the app and listen the regular way, or they can buy the app plus the shell and experience a new dimension to music.
