Branding, graphic design and motion graphics/editing for Heidelberg Materials (previously Cementa) project Slite CCS.

Slite CCS is one of Sweden’s most significant climate transition projects. By 2030, Heidelberg Materials aims to manufacture cement with net-zero carbon dioxide emissions and achieve negative emissions. Using innovative CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) technology, they will capture, transport, and store emissions to prevent them from reaching the atmosphere. This project will be carried out in Slite on Gotland, Sweden. Advertising, content and a website have been produced to inform people and garner support for the project, as Heidelberg Materials cannot do this alone.

The design included creating a special identity for the project. Heidelberg Materials identity has been scaled down, and a few extra design elements have been introduced to highlight and distinguish the project. The project is not visionary in an undefined future, but concrete and active. Therefore, the identity has a somewhat more editorial and factual news character to it.

Below is a small selection of what has been done so far.
